Nadia Duran

From her base in Sydney, Nadia Duran built a reputation as an international event and wedding planner, designer and producer. She has been active in the wedding and event industry since 2006, with a signature style in which styling, decoration and floral design come together in a complete concept.

Her career began with planning her own wedding. What started as a personal project from a home studio grew into her own company, complete with a team and several storage facilities in Sydney. Before entering the event industry, Nadia trained as an engineer, a background that still shapes the way she works today. Structure and technical preparation form a constant thread in the development and execution of complex events, in which she is involved from concept through to delivery. Within this process, working with decorative elements, including flowers, is a fixed part of the spatial design.

Over time, Nadia continued her work under her own name. Today she runs her business independently and with an international focus: she creates weddings and events at locations outside Australia and works with clients from various countries. Her projects show floral and decorative design as an integrated part of ceremonies, dinners and reception spaces.

Within the Australian wedding and event industry, her work has been recognised multiple times by the Australian Bridal Industry Academy. Among other honours, she received the title Designer of the Decade, along with awards in the categories of decoration and event design.

Besides her work as a planner and designer, Nadia is active as a speaker, coach and mentor within the international wedding and event industry.
