LionStar Lisianthus joins Decorum

Decorum welcomes LionStar as a new grower within the collective. LionStar is a young, dynamic and forward-thinking company specializing in the cultivation of Lisianthus. With their strong focus on quality, LionStar fits perfectly within Decorum’s values.

LionStar cultivates Lisianthus in the popular Rosita and Alissa Lisanne series, in twelve carefully selected colors. With the addition of these varieties, Decorum’s overall Lisianthus assortment is further strengthened. LionStar focuses on top quality: sturdy stems, multiple flowers per stem, maximum freshness, and a long vase life. Immediately after harvesting, the flowers are transported to the auction, ensuring that consumers receive only the very best product.

Leonard van Wijk, owner of LionStar: “We are starting our collaboration with Decorum with great enthusiasm. We hope this will make us more accessible to our end customers. We look forward to a pleasant cooperation!”

With a current production of 350,000 stems per week, LionStar already supplies a significant share of the market. Thanks to a completely new nursery, production will increase to 750,000 stems per week next year. The most beautiful flowers from this harvest will be supplied exclusively under the Decorum brand.

“LionStar is a wonderful example of how innovation and craftsmanship can go hand in hand,” says Stef de Jong, Senior Manager Operations at Decorum. “Their approach and focus on quality align seamlessly with the values that Decorum stands for.”

The collaboration with LionStar underlines the shared ambition of all Decorum growers: to continuously innovate, work together, and grow further as a collective.
