Villa Curcuma

Villa Curcuma is a small-scale horticultural company in Honselersdijk. Owners André and Mike Zuidgeest are specialised in growing Curcuma cut flowers, making them the only growers in the Netherlands. André Zuidgeest: “We strive for high-quality cultivation and a long vase life for consumers. Moreover, we grow our products almost completely biologically.” In the greenhouse of Villa Curcuma, a tropical climate is imitated because the Curcuma originates from Thailand. Due to its origin, this slender, exotic flower has to be transported ‘warm’, i.e. transported in temperatures of 15°C and above. Villa Curcuma cuts the flowers in lengths from 55 cm to 75 cm long. The full range of seven varieties is available from week 1 to week 40, with the compliments of Decorum.
